NEW BEGINNING

SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 43:19

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.

In life everybody loves a new thing. New things are exciting and so is a new year. However God will not usher in the new thing in your life no matter how desperate we are. It is important we do away with the old.

As you have entered into a new year it is important that you put the past behind you and keep your eyes on what God is about to do in your life.

I will like you to write down three things you want to put behind you. Some these things have taken over God’s place in your life. Remember God will never bless you with anything that will take His place in your life.

PRAYER:

Pray that God will quicken your faith in Him and receive the grace to put painful experiences behind you.

SEE BEYOND

SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 12:9

He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."

We’ve been taught that when we ask God for something through prayer, His answer may be yes, no, or wait. We’re told that even no is an answer, though obviously not the one we may want. It certainly wasn’t the answer Paul wanted when he begged God three times to remove his “thorn in the flesh.

Paul however knew how to see beyond the situation. He saw the bigger pictures of God’s will. At first he viewed it as a limiting handicap, but later he came to regard it as a heavenly advantage. Our weakness is a blessing when we lean on God's strength so let’s learn to see God’s hand at work in everything.

PRAYER:

Ask God to help you keep trusting him whilst he works out his purpose.
